What is a Violation?
In Louisiana, a water violation refers to a breach of regulations concerning water quality, usage, and protection. These violations can encompass various activities, including discharging pollutants without proper permits, exceeding allowable contaminant levels in drinking water, or failing to comply with state-mandated regulations for community water systems. The Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) and the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) are key agencies enforcing these regulations.
The owner, Reddell-Vidrine Water District, of the public water supply which receives a variance and/or exemption shall fully and timely comply with all the terms and conditions of any compliance and/or implementaion schedule specified by the state health officer in conjuction with the issuance of same.
